Start by identifying the fault area

If only one module is abnormal, the fault is usually related to that module, its power input, or its signal connection. If several modules in the same cabinet fail together, check the cabinet power supply, receiving card, and internal signal chain first. If a full row or column is missing, the issue may come from a ribbon cable, HUB board, or output port.
1. Check the power input before replacing the module
A weak or unstable power connection is one of the most common causes of LED display troubleshooting work. Use a multimeter to check whether the module receives the correct DC voltage. For many LED display modules, the common supply is 5V DC, but the actual value must follow the product design and project documentation.
Check whether the power cable is loose, overheated, oxidized, or damaged. Also inspect the power connector on the module. If the voltage drops when the screen becomes bright, the power supply may be overloaded or the cable may not be able to carry enough current.
A useful method is to compare the faulty module with a nearby normal module. If the normal module has stable voltage and the faulty one does not, the problem is likely in the power cable, connector, or power distribution path.
2. Inspect signal cables and module connectors
If power is normal, continue with the signal path. Loose ribbon cables, poor contact, or wrong cable direction can cause flickering, missing image, color disorder, or half-module failure.
Turn off the power before reconnecting ribbon cables. Then remove and reconnect the input and output signal cables carefully.
